Please take the time to respond.  I would like to point out that Brandon Kyle and Mike Kuhse have retired from the SEAON Board.  We wish them the best and thank them for their time and support.  We also have four new candidates for the SEAON Board, see below for some additional information on these individuals.  As always, if you have any interest in joining a SEAON Committee or becoming more involved please reach out via email, our website (https://www.seaon.org/), or on Facebook or LinkedIn.

Tyler Schmidt, P.E.

Mr. Schmidt is originally from the Madison, Wisconsin area and received his Bachelors in Civil Engineering and Masters in Civil Engineering with a minor in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln in 2014 and 2016.  Since graduation, he has been working at InfraStructure, LLC in Omaha, NE in their buildings group.  During his time there, he has designed various types of buildings ranging from industrial, commercial, residential, federal, and health-care all around the country.  Mr. Schmidt has recently passed his Professional Engineering exam in October 2019 and plans to take the Structural Engineering exams in the future.   His current involvement as one of the SEAON Younger Member Group Co-Chairs has given him the opportunity to witness some of the past board meetings and background work of the organization.  He looks forward to having the opportunity to volunteer on the board.

 

Tim Morrison, S.E.

Employer: Leo A Daly (8 years)

Title: Structural engineer

Notable Projects: Capitol District Marriott and Apartments,  Cottonwood Hotel Renovation, Omaha Bus Rapid Transit, Carson Group Headquarters, and NEON (National Ecological Observation Network).

Education:  Bachelor’s (2009) and Master’s (2011) in Architectural Engineering from the Durham School of Architectural Engineering

In my free time:  I enjoy sending time with my family, riding my bike, or anything outdoors.

 

MJ Nachreiner, P.E.

My name is Michael (MJ) Nachreiner and I am a structural engineer for Schemmer.  I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2014 with a Civil Engineering degree and have worked for Schemmer since graduating.  This past fall I passed the PE test and am officially a licensed engineer!  I have a wonderful wife of almost 4 years with no kids, but we are expecting in September!

 

Ryan Bateman, P.E.

Ryan Bateman, PE, SE is a railroad bridge engineer at HDR in Omaha, a position he has held since May of 2013.  Prior to working at HDR, Ryan was a graduate research assistant at the Midwest Roadside Safety Facility at UNL.  He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil Engineering from UNL.  Ryan and his wife, Kelsie, have 2 children, Flora (3) and William (1), and are expecting the third (another girl) in May.  He is new to SEAON, but is passionate about the profession, and eager to serve.
